Mobility Tech Maker Reyhee Hopes To ‘Revolutionize Accessibility’ With New Foldable SuperLite Wheelchair

In a press release published on Tuesday, Los Angeles-based mobility technology maker Reyhee announced the all-new Reyhee SuperLite. The SuperLite is billed as “the ultimate convenient and adaptable solution for those with limited abilities,” with Reyhee adding the wheelchair is “one of the first foldable, electric 3-in-1 mobility devices that serves as a power wheelchair, power rollator and manual rollator all in one, providing a long-lasting and transport-friendly user experience.”

According to Reyhee, the SuperLite is an FDA-cleared, Class II device. It weights 49 pounds and has a top speed of 3.7 miles per hour.

“We intentionally designed the SuperLite to make it easier for individuals to easily get to where they need, especially when traveling, whether that’s for vacation or to the grocery store,” said Reyhee vice president Thuan Tran in a statement included in the press release. “There are over a million people in the U.S. in need of a wheelchair or scooter, and it’s our mission to help senior citizens or anyone with limited mobility enjoy the activities, people and places they love.”

The SuperLite’s advent comes months after Reyhee announced its Cruiser and Roamer vehicles in late February, the news of which was covered in this space. As I wrote at the time, although scooters aren’t nearly as sexy nor as headline-making as, say, Apple’s Vision Pro, they nonetheless are bonafide examples of assistive tech in their own right.

The Reyhee SuperLite costs $1999. It’s available for purchase on the company’s website as well as on Amazon.
